Investigation Has Been Ordered On Me Because I Spearheaded Suit Barring Police From Commencing Tinted Glass Permit, Israel Joe Disclosed

Warri based human right activist, Comrade Israel Joe today disclosed that a "Secret" and "discreet" investigation has been ordered to be carried on him as a person because he spearhead a suit which barred the Nigeria Police Force,NPF from commencing enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit. 

Joe made the disclosure in a statement sent to Our Correspondent in Warri. 

He said,"Learning that secret and discreet investigations have been ordered on me,I wish to welcome it with my full chest."

Joe said,"I am one of the neatest successful anti-fraudulent Nigerian youths in Nigeria. The police should not do this investigation alone."

According to him,"The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC, Department of State Service, DSS, Nigerian Security&Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and other crime related bodies should join this investigation. They should carry it out to the boxers I wear, and if they find linking me to any crime, the law should take its course immediately."

Joe also said,"This same passion should also be directed to their senior officers and politicians across the country."

He noted that the information was revealed to him by top Police sources that an investigation has been ordered on him hence, he issued the statement. 

It would be recalled that the Delta State High Court of Justice, Orerokpe Judicial Division in Okpe Local Government Area on Wednesday December 17 in an Ex-Parte Motion restrained the Inspector-General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Delta Commissioner of Police,CP Olufemi Abaniwonda and his men from enforcing the Tinted the Glass Permit Policy pending the determination of a substantive suit.

The Court also fixed hearing a Suit brought before it by a human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe for Wednesday December 24. 

Comrade Israel Joe in Suit No::HOR/FHR/M/31/2025 against IGP and the Delta State Commissioner of Police was represented by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria,Mr. Kunle Edun with Ikechukwu Ogbonna Esq,E.O.Onoriode Esq, S C. Okporgu Esq, T.L. Doigboghie Esq, A.H. Okifo Esq, and Sir. F.O. Yekovie and J.K. Ezugwu Esq. 

In an "Enrolment of Order"Joe had prayed the Court for,"An Order of Interim Injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd Respondents, their officers,men,agents,privies and/or contractors from implementing/enforcing the Tinted Glass Permit Policy set to commence on the 2nd of January 2026 pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application filed in the suit. 

"An Order of Interim Injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd Respondents their officers, men, Agent,privies and/or Contractors from stopping,harassing,arresting, detaining, extorting or otherwise interfering with the constitutional rights to dignity, privacy l, freedom of movement and ownership of property of the Applicant(And citizens/motorists) under the guise of enforcing the Tinted Glass Permit Policy pending hearing and determination of the substantive application filed in the suit.

"An Order of Interim Injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd Respondents their officers,men,agent,privies and/or contractors from continuing to use PARKWAY PROJECTS ACCOUNT(a private contractor's account) to conduct any government business pending hearing and determination of the substantive suit.

"An Order for substituted service on the 1st and 2nd Respondents through the 3rd Respondent at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters,Asaba and for such service to be deemed as good and proper service."
