Oborevwori Commissions Modern Market in Oporoza, Pledges More Infrastructure
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to extending critical infrastructure and economic opportunities to riverine communities across the state.

The Governor stated this during the commissioning of a modern market in Oporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area.
Represented by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Oborevwori said the facility was designed to strengthen grassroots commerce, support small businesses and improve the livelihoods of residents of Oporoza and neighbouring communities.
The newly commissioned market comprises 24 lock-up shops, 24 open shops, male and female restrooms, a solar-powered water scheme and landscaped surroundings.
According to the Governor, the facilities were provided to create a clean, safe and conducive environment for traders while boosting commercial activities in the community.
Oborevwori urged community leaders and traders to take ownership of the market and ensure its proper maintenance to preserve the facility for long-term use.
He also assured the people that the request for an extension of the market would be considered once the facility is put to effective use.
The commissioning is part of the state government’s efforts to improve infrastructure, promote economic activities and enhance the quality of life in riverine communities across Delta State.
