Woman stabs husband to death in Abia

A woman identified as Sarah Nwaorji, has allegedly stabbed her husband, Innocent Nwaorji, to death in Aba, Abia State.

The couple hail from Amaise Umuokereke-Ngwa community in Obingwa council,but the incident took place where they reside around the Seven Up company area in Aba North council.

They were said to have had a disagreement in their apartment, last Friday. 

A neighbor to the couple,who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that at about 10.00pm Sunday, he was alerted to the incident that Sarah has stabbed her husband to death.

Pebnews gathered the marriage was yet to produce any child ,as  the couple had tied the nuptial nuts in December 2025; eight months ago.

Friends and associates described the deceased as an easy going person who can't hurt a fly and wondered what could have led his wife into taking his life.

"The couple only wedded last December. The marriage was yet to produce a child. Innocent was an easy going person. What we heard was that the couple had a disagreement last Friday and wife stabbed her husband to death at about 10.00pm, Sunday," a resident said.

The corpse has been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary in Aba while the suspect is already in the custody of the Police.

Contacted,the Police Public Relations Officer, Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka,was yet to respond to calls
 and a text message placed on her handset as at the time of filing this report.
