Peb ICT calls on Warri residents to embrace affordable digital skills training

PEB ICT Training Hub has urged residents of Warri and the wider Delta State to acquire digital skills, describing technology knowledge as the foundation of modern careers.

The training brand, owned by Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Registrar of the Federal University of Maritime, Okerenkoko, says it is committed to bridging the digital skills gap through practical and affordable programs.

Speaking with Pebnews, Mr. Major Moses, Supervisor of PEB ICT, said the institute offers courses for beginners and professionals alike.

“We offer training on various ICT courses ranging from computer basics for those with zero knowledge, to web design and development, front-end and back-end development, computer graphics design, data analysis, and computer hardware and maintenance,” Moses stated.

He added that programs run for two to three months in different batches. The hub also provides mass training for organizations and corporate services including branding, graphic design, website development, and software design.
 
According to Moses, PEB ICT operates in a solar-powered facility with constant electricity and adequate computers for trainees.

“Our prices are quite affordable. We haven’t reviewed our fees in almost three years, which is very uncommon given the current financial challenges. We run on solar, so there’s always power. We have enough computers, and the environment is cool. It’s affordable and very easy to learn here,” he said.

Moses further emphasized that digital literacy is no longer optional across any profession.

“Computers are here to stay. They will keep evolving as long as humanity exists. The earlier you get involved with the trend, the better for you,” he said.

“Practically speaking, there is no career path you will choose today where computers are not involved. Whether it’s science, social science, or art, digital skills are now the baseline. I encourage everybody to get equipped with at least basic skills that will transform and revolutionize their career path.”
