"Tantita has no alternative,” Gbaramatu Chief says as NASS commends firm

High Chief Godpower Gbenekama, the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, has defended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited against recent criticism, insisting the firm remains indispensable to Nigeria’s security and economic progress.

Speaking during an interview with the press at the grand finale of the 2026 Amaseikumo Festival in Oporoza, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Gbenekama said he was “elated” that the truth about Tantita’s performance was now coming to light.

“There are a lot of people who have benefited from the same Tantita that are now crucifying the same Tantita they benefited from. However, we are not bothered,” he said. “We are proud of the work Tantita is doing.”

The Gbaramatu chief maintained that any reasonable government would continue to engage the company, citing its impact on national development. “Because of Tantita, development and progress are coming to Nigeria. People are able to pay their school fees. Nigeria’s income is increasing day by day,” he stated.

He described the National Assembly’s recent commendation of Tantita as “just stating the obvious,” adding that the company has proven its capacity beyond doubt.

“Tantita has proven that it is the only outfit that can do this. There is no other option than Tantita, Tantita, and Tantita,” Gbenekama declared.
