Delta First Lady celebrates birthday with widows in Bomadi

The First Lady of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, is celebrating her birthday today, Thursday, February 5, 2026, with widows in Bomadi Local Government Area of the state.


The event, which has drawn attention to the riverine community, is part of activities lined up to mark her birthday through outreach and support for vulnerable groups. Deaconess Oborevwori is the founder of the You Matter charity organisation.


According to a statement by the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, the First Lady is expected to deliver a motivational address to the widows during the gathering. He described the visit as a significant moment for the beneficiaries and the community.


The statement also disclosed that Mrs. Rejoice Dagidi Andaye, wife of the Bomadi Council Chairman, will lead women in the area to formally welcome the First Lady to Bomadi.


The birthday outreach is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Ultra Modern Event Centre, where widows from across the locality are expected to attend.


The programme is designed as a heartfelt celebration focused on encouraging, empowering and uplifting widows, in line with the humanitarian focus of the First Lady’s foundation.
