The Transformative Unique Agenda (TUA) Forum, Delta State, has honoured the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, for his contributions to infrastructural development, security and human capital development.

The award was presented on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in recognition of what the group described as the chairman’s transformative leadership and developmental achievements since assuming office.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Delta State Coordinator of TUA Forum, Comrade Morisson Oyibo, commended Oyibode for the transformation of the Udu Local Government Council Secretariat and other development projects across the area.

Oyibo noted that the council secretariat had undergone significant changes under the present administration, adding that the structures and improvements recorded at the complex reflected the chairman’s commitment to grassroots development.

“Looking at the structures we have today, one would think they were built by the state government. The level of development is impressive and deserves commendation,” he said.

The TUA coordinator also praised the administration’s efforts towards improving security in Udu, recalling incidents of criminality previously experienced in some communities. He said the situation had improved under Oyibode’s leadership.

He further commended the chairman’s contributions to human capital development, noting that several individuals had benefited from his support and assistance.

Oyibo also stressed the need to respect the constitutional and administrative responsibilities of the council chairman as the chief executive of the local government. He said stakeholders could offer advice and suggestions but should allow Oyibode to exercise his lawful executive authority.

The coordinator also declared the group’s political support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging to mobilise members and supporters to vote massively for the party in Udu during the forthcoming elections.

Responding, Oyibode thanked the TUA Forum for recognising his administration’s efforts, describing the award as an encouragement to do more for the people.

He urged members of the group to intensify their mobilisation efforts to ensure the APC records a clean sweep in the local government in the forthcoming elections, a target popularly described as “5 over 5.”

The council chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, describing security as the primary responsibility of government.

He assured residents that the protection of lives and property would remain a major priority, alongside continued infrastructural development and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
