Oborevwori Fulfils ₦50m Education Support Promise to Brilliant Delta Student
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has fulfilled his promise of a ₦50 million Education Support Fund for Miss Oghenevo Davina, a brilliant JSS 2 student of Model Technical College, Oghareki, in Ethiope West Local Government Area.
The governor fulfilled the pledge when he met with Davina, her classmates, parents, the school principal and the Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council at the Government House in Asaba, where he directed the immediate opening of an account for the fund.
The pledge followed Davina’s impressive speech during the commissioning of Model Technical College, Oghareki, on Friday, October 9, 2026. Speaking on behalf of her fellow students, she highlighted the importance of technical education and commended the state government’s investments in practical skills and vocational training under the MORE Agenda.
Her confidence, eloquence and understanding of the value of technical education reportedly attracted the governor’s attention, prompting him to announce the ₦50 million education support package.
The fund is intended to support Davina’s education from her current level through university, helping to reduce the financial burden of her studies and secure her educational future.
The gesture also underscores the importance of encouraging academic excellence and nurturing young talents, particularly in technical and vocational education.
By fulfilling the pledge, the Oborevwori administration has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education and providing opportunities for young people in Delta State to develop their abilities and pursue their ambitions.
