Kestin Pondi Earns PhD from University of Benin After Years of Dedication

High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and a prominent Nigerian civil engineer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist has successfully completed and defended his doctoral thesis, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

Pondi, who completed the programme at the College of Postgraduate Studies, Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Benin, described the achievement as a major milestone after years of hard work, sacrifice, perseverance and academic dedication.

In a statement celebrating the accomplishment, Pondi expressed gratitude to God Almighty for seeing him through the demanding academic journey.

“With a heart full of gratitude to God Almighty, I am deeply humbled and delighted to share that I have successfully completed and defended my PhD thesis,” he said.

Reflecting on the journey, Pondi acknowledged the challenges he encountered along the way, noting that perseverance and determination were crucial to reaching the milestone.

He also expressed appreciation to his supervisors, lecturers, examiners, family members, friends and colleagues for their encouragement, prayers and support throughout his studies.

According to him, the contributions and support of those around him played an important role in making the achievement possible.

Pondi attributed the success ultimately to God, saying, “Above all, I give all the glory to God, whose grace carried me through.”

He described the award of the PhD from the prestigious University of Benin as an achievement he would cherish, while signalling his readiness to begin another chapter of his journey.

“One chapter has ended, another begins. The journey continues,” Pondi said.
