Olomu Kingdom Bans Cultism, Drug Abuse, Orders Cultists to Renounce Membership Immediately

THE Olomu Kingdom has announced a total ban on cult-related activities and the abuse of illicit drugs within its domain, warning that anyone involved must immediately renounce such activities or face appropriate sanctions.

The declaration was made after an enlarged meeting of all communities leaders by the Ohworode of Olomu kingdom, HRM Albert Akpomudje SAN, Eyavwien-Alaka I, as part of renewed efforts to promote peace, security, and sustainable development across all communities under its jurisdiction.

According to the learned Monarch, cultism and drug abuse have become major threats to the safety of residents, particularly young people, contributing to crime, violence, and social instability. 

The kingdom emphasized that it would no longer tolerate any activity capable of undermining the peace and unity of the area.

The  directed all individuals involved in cult groups to withdraw from their memberships without delay and embrace lawful and productive lifestyles. It also urged parents, guardians, community leaders, and youth organizations to work together in identifying and discouraging behaviours that encourage criminality and substance abuse.

The Ohworode further called on security agencies and relevant government authorities to collaborate with community stakeholders in enforcing the ban and ensuring that offenders are brought to justice in accordance with the law.

Residents were encouraged to support the initiative by reporting suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities and by promoting values of peace, respect, and community development.

The Ohworode reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining law and order, expressing confidence that the renewed campaign against cultism and drug abuse would foster a safer environment for residents and create greater opportunities for social and economic progress throughout the Olomu Kingdom.
