Itsekiri coordinators rally behind Tantita, slams contract critics

Itsekiri coordinators of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited have expressed strong support for the company's pipeline surveillance contract, condemning individuals calling for its revocation as "selfish" and "misguided".

In a statement signed by the Itsekiri Tantita coordinators, Mr. Ebisan Fenemigho, Mr. Fidelis Lori, Mr. Richard Arubi, Engr. Sam Uwatse, among others described the agitators as lacking credibility and mandate to speak for the Itsekiri people, and accused them of seeking personal gain through chaos and instability.

The coordinators praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for extending the contract, citing Tantita's exceptional performance in reducing oil theft and promoting stability in the Niger Delta.

They also commended High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) for his leadership, saying he has proven himself capable and reliable in safeguarding national oil and gas infrastructure.

The statement highlighted Tantita's inclusive framework, which represents various communities and ethnic nationalities across the Niger Delta, and condemned calls for decentralization or cancellation of the contract as "deliberate attempts to destabilize peace".

The coordinators urged agitators to pursue legitimate opportunities rather than disrupting a system delivering results.

Tantita's operations have improved security, environmental stability, and aquatic life in the Niger Delta, eradicating kidnapping and unrest in the region's waters.
