Be united, shun religious intolerance, Etsu-Nupe of Warri urges Nigerians, preaches peace at Eidel-Fitri celebration
The Etsu-Nupe of Warri and Environ, HRH. Zuberu Mohammed Tajudeen today urged Nigerians to be united, love themselves irrespective of their religious beliefs as well as shun "religious intolerance" for the peace and progress of this nation.
HRH. Tajudeen made the call during an interview with Our Correspondent as part of activities marking the Eidel-Fitri celebration in Warri.
The religious leader said, "Muslim religion is a religion of peace progresses which teaches peace to every individual that we should love one another. That we should keep ourselves to the Will of God Almighty. That we should that whatever we are doing,we should remember that there's God."
According to the traditional ruler, "So, Eidel-Fitri has come after the end of the fasting, all of us are going to celebrate it at the playground today. Today is a day that will the end of our fasting which we need to tell our people that they should continue to love one another."
He stressed that, "For you to do fasting for thirty(30)days, and today you're celebrating you should love one another. We should keep the commandments of God as a good Muslim. Even if you're not a good Muslim, you supposed to keep the ten(10) commandments of God because, it's written in the Bible in Exodus 20:2-11, All these things that God says we should follow, we should do it and love each other and get the glory of God at the end of the message."
