Udu NBA celebrates appointment of Jonah Otite as Delta State High Court Judge
The leadership and members of Udu Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) have congratulated one of its distinguished members, Jonah Otite, on his appointment as a Judge of the Delta State High Court.
In a statement issued on behalf of the branch, Edmund John Odohisi Esq, chairman, NBA Udu described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that it reflects Otite’s years of dedication to the legal profession, his sound knowledge of the law, and his commitment to justice and ethical practice.
The association said the elevation of Otite to the bench is not only a personal achievement but also a moment of pride for the Udu Bar, adding that his professional conduct and service over the years have earned him respect among colleagues and within the wider legal community.
According to the statement, members of the branch expressed confidence that Justice Otite will discharge his judicial duties with integrity, impartiality, and diligence, in line with the high expectations of the judiciary and the public.
The NBA Udu further commended the Delta State Judicial Service Commission and the state government for what it described as a thoughtful selection process, emphasizing that the appointment will contribute positively to the administration of justice in the state.
Odohisi added that Otite served the Branch meritoriously as Chairman of Disciplinary Committee, proving his love for service.
The branch concluded by wishing Justice Otite a successful and impactful tenure on the bench, assuring him of the continued support and goodwill of the Udu legal community.
On their parts, Dr. Ayo Asala SAN, Richard Kpedi Esq, Carsly Omon-Irabor Esq, Patrick Mekako Esq, eulogized Otite as a complete gentleman who has proven his mettle as a dedicated legal pratictioner.
