About N500 million spent on ICT Training for 100 Beneficiaries In Delta - Tompolo Foundation Secretary

The Tompolo Foundation has invested approximately N500 million in a six-month ICT training program, empowering 100 young people from Delta State with digital skills and brand-new laptops. 

The program, sponsored by the Tompolo Foundation in partnership with Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and PEB ICT Services, aimed to equip youths with practical digital skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

Speaking with journalists at the graduation ceremony, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Executive Secretary of the Tompolo Foundation, emphasized the importance of digital knowledge in today's world. Saying that "The cost is about N500 million we put into this training," he added.

He noted that the program attracted youths from five ethnic nationalities in Delta State, including Ijaws, Urhobos, Itsekiris, Ndokwa, and other.

The training covered various programs, including Microsoft Office, graphics, cybersecurity, and more in other to improve youth employability and expand participation in the digital economy. 

Bebenimibo stated that the foundation plans to continue equipping youths with digital knowledge, citing the success of the current program.
