CDHR National Disclaims Parallel AGC
The National body of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR has disclaimed and dissociated itself from a proposed "Parallel" Annual General Conference, AGC by a group of persons.
This is contained in a statement signed by CDHR's National President, Debo Adeniran. Adeniran said the proposed AGC which is scheduled to hold in Abeokuta, Ogun State on January 30th-February 1st, 2026 is against the spirit and letters of CDHR's constitution.
According to him,"I, as the Immediate past President and newly re-elected President of the organization and still the Secretary to the BOT, hereby dissociate myself and the said parallel Annual General Conference (AGC) on behalf of the CDHR."
He noted that,"The Authentic and widely supported Annual General Conference (AGC) of CDHR has been convened and successfully held hence, anybody trying to organize another parallel conference is engaging in gross violation of CDHR's Constitution."
