Delta Assembly Commences 2026 Budget Defence as Ministry of Special Projects Present Plans

Sequel to the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Delta State House of Assembly by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the State Legislature has commenced the budget defence for various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies before the different House Committees.

The Ministry of Special Projects, led by its Commissioner, Chief (Barr.) Funyei Manager, and Director of the ministry, Mr. Emmanuel Siakpere appeared before the Committee and outlined its programmes and activities for the 2026 fiscal year.

Chairman of the Committee, Honourable Oboro Preyo, commended the ministry of Special projects led by Chief (Barr.) Funyei Manager, for its efforts and assured them of the Committee’s continued collaboration for enhanced service delivery.

The defence exercise marks a fundamental stage in the budget process, as lawmakers scrutinise sectoral allocations to ensure alignment with the administration’s development priorities.
