Nigeria Fintech Week 2025 opens today as Remita reaffirms support
Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW) 2025 kicks off today, October 7, in Lagos, with leading payment technology company, Remita, reaffirming its support as one of the event’s key sponsors for the fourth consecutive year.
The three day conference, which runs until October 9, is themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future.” It is expected to bring together regulators, investors, innovators, and policymakers to explore how technology can drive sustainable growth across Nigeria’s financial and allied sectors.
Announcing its continued sponsorship, Remita said its participation underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to advancing digital transformation and strengthening the nation’s fintech infrastructure. The firm noted that financial technology now plays a central role in multiple industries, including education, healthcare, logistics, and public administration.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Remita’s Managing Director, ‘DeRemi Atanda, said the company’s involvement aligns with its vision of enabling financial access and digital connectivity across all sectors.
“At Remita, we have long believed that digital financial infrastructure should catalyse the growth of every sector. Our continued sponsorship of Nigeria Fintech Week reflects our conviction,” Atanda stated. “We see fintech as an enabler that connects industries, empowers people, and strengthens trust in digital systems. Our focus remains on building intelligent, resilient infrastructure that simplifies payments and enables everyone everywhere to succeed.”
He added that Remita would continue investing in artificial intelligence and responsible automation to improve fraud prevention, predictive analytics, and personalised financial services.
Remita’s Chief Technology Officer, Mujib Ishola, is also scheduled to participate in a panel session titled “Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Hospitality Symphony: Platforms, Partnerships & Payments.” He is expected to discuss how interoperability and collaboration can improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and foster growth across digital service industries.
“Remita is the bridge that reduces barriers and amplifies opportunity,” Ishola said. “Progress across industries ultimately depends on trust, data integrity, and regulatory alignment, values that remain central to everything we build and support.”
Organised by FintechNGR, Nigeria Fintech Week 2025 aims to strengthen dialogue between public and private sector stakeholders in the financial technology space. Remita’s participation is part of a broader industry effort to deepen financial inclusion and foster innovation through partnerships.
Throughout the event, discussions will centre on emerging trends in payments infrastructure, data security, and the integration of fintech solutions across traditional industries. Representatives of Remita are expected to engage with participants on issues of interoperability, regulatory alignment, and sustainable digital growth.
Nigeria Fintech Week remains one of the country’s largest annual gatherings dedicated to technology-driven financial innovation and will be held across multiple venues in Lagos.
