Gov Oborevwori Flagoff The Construction Of Osubi Specialist Hospital Project

The Osubi Specialist Hospital, currently under development, is envisioned as a world-class medical centre designed to serve as a hub for treatment, training, and total wellness in Delta State.

With state-of-the-art facilities and standard features that meet international benchmarks, the hospital is expected to address critical gaps in healthcare delivery, reduce medical tourism, and provide Deltans with affordable access to specialized treatment.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who fast-tracked the project from approval to construction, has described it as a flagship initiative under his administration’s MORE Agenda to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the state.

“The Osubi Specialist Hospital will not only treat patients but also serve as a training ground for medical professionals and a centre for total wellness. Our people deserve the best, and this project is a clear signal of our commitment to expanding quality healthcare for all,” the Governor said.

Health experts have also commended the project as a major step towards bridging the doctor-to-patient gap, reducing pressure on existing medical facilities, and aligning Delta’s healthcare system with global best practices.

When completed, the Osubi Specialist Hospital will complement other federal and state health institutions, boost medical research, and offer Deltans world-class services within their reach.
