Top Private Security Services commends NCDMB for training, empowering 100 youths

Top Private Security Services Nigeria Limited today commended the Nigerian Content Development &Monitoring Board, NCDMB for the training empowerment of one hundred(100) youths drawn from Oil Producing States of the Federation with a view to tackle youth unemployment, youth festiveness and other forms of criminality in the Country. 

The 100 youths are currently being trained in make-up, manicure&pedicure, barbing&lurks.

In a chat with newsmen at Top Private Academy, venue of the training in Warri,Commodore Omatseye Nesiama Rtd who spoke on behalf of Top Private Security Services Nigeria noted that the training and empowerment programme is to position the to be self reliant as well as start developing themselves and thinking less about what Nigeria will do for them. 

According to him,"Nigeria has done something useful through this training empowerment. They should be thinking more of what they can do for themselves."

He said,"The nation right now requires a reset and the minds of the young people drifting and needs to be set before being reset." 


Commodore Nesiama noted that the idea is to stop the youths from looking for white collar jobs where there are none and empower them(youths) with high selling skills and self reliant skills to make them self-reliant and not to be dependent on anyone. 

Commodore Nesiama said the Top Private Security Services Nigeria Limited partnered with the Nigerian Content Development &Monitoring Board, NCDMB who powered the training and youth empowerment currently going on. 

"This is one training that 100 persons." Commodore Nesiama opined that,"if we can take our young peoples mind to be focused and the fact that they can be self-reliant, we are on a positive direction to move this Country forward taking young people away from crime."

He explained that crime comes when young people are not positively engaged. 

He said,"For a while,the beliefs that positive engagement is to get white collar jobs and those jobs are not there and even the ones that are there, are not even engaging. We have a lot of people in the civil service who are not doing anything."

 The training manager, Festus Erubore who represented Engr. Harmony Kunu on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development &Monitoring Board, NCDMB, Engr. Felix Ogbe said the idea of the training and empower is for the youths to get a skill. "It's a high selling opportunity that has come to these youths". 

He explained that when they're engaged, they will not take to crime and criminality but to make their lives and that of their families meaningful. 

A participant, Police Ekuvierhe who is learning barbing&lurks said,"So far, so good, we have learnt a little and we are still learning." He appreciated the organizers for training and empowering the youths and making the Nigerian youths to be self reliant. "I thank them a lot." He said the training will be of great help to him because it will afford him the opportunity to help himself and his immediate family. 

Another participant, Awere Florence Omowumi(manicure&pedicure)who also spoke with newsmen said she's gained a lot from the training/empowerment programme saying, it will be beneficial to her in so many ways. She also appreciated Top Private Security Services and the Nigerian Content Development &Monitoring Board for coming to the aid of the youths with view to take them out of unemployment. 

Another participant(Make-up), Germany Tejiri who said the training has been interesting, also expressed gratitude to the organizers.
