APC Governors, National Chairman Ganduje Storm Asaba Ahead of Governor Oborevwori’s Defection to APC

In a major political development, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside a delegation of APC governors, has arrived at the Government House in Asaba, Delta State, ahead of the official defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to the party.
Governor Oborevwori, who welcomed the high-powered delegation, hosted a team led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Among the dignitaries present were the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo; Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo; Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji; and former APC National Chairman and Senator, Adams Oshiomhole, alongside several other prominent party leaders.
More APC leaders are expected to arrive in Asaba, reflecting the significance and national attention surrounding the Governor’s move.
In a show of solidarity, the visiting leaders applauded Governor Oborevwori’s developmental efforts across Delta State, commending his leadership vision and commitment to grassroots progress.
Governor Oborevwori’s formal declaration to join the APC is scheduled for tomorrow, setting the stage for a new political realignment in Delta State and signaling a significant boost for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
