"The evil people who don't want Delta State to succeed, are gathering everyday to pull our Governor down but with your prayers, he will succeed.

"I know very well that the governor will do MORE for our people as I know very well that no evil personation from the pit of hell will drag our Governor down as he has promised good things for Deltans.

"At the Delta State House of Assembly, all the 29 members are ready to give him the full support and I know very that he is going to succeed." He added.

On his party, Olorogun Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu in his thanksgiving speech said, "Todays thanksgiving is significant to me because God has elevated me and today is also anniversary of my marriage.

"I am grateful to the Governor for  the appointment and of course to the the very wonderful House of Assembly, whose without their confirmation I cannot be sworn in or resume the office.

"For the show of love and for those that came to support me in this thanksgiving, I am grateful."

Earlier in his homily titled, 'Remember it is God', the Guest Preacher, Bishop Kingsley Enakirheri who took his readings from Deuteronomy 8 verse 18 and Psalms 103 verses 2, enjoined political officer holders to always remember God in their dealings and render help while in office.

He said, "It is easy for a man to offend God when he is up there forgetting that in the journey of life between failure and success, God is the deciding factor.

"A Man who doesn't recognize that there is God, not help others. Those you help today are the ones that would help you or your children tomorrow.

"While I congratulate Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu on his appointment, we should continue to pray for the our state Governor to succeed because those that remember there is God, leave legacy behind."
