Fuel hike: Human Rights, Israel Joel, carpets compromising Activists over #Endgovernance protests
Following the consistent hike in the price of petrol, a Niger Delta Human Rights Activist, Comrade Israel Joe, on Sunday, frowned at Human Rights Activists who allegedly joined thugs who kicked against and attacked genuine protesters during the recent #Endbad governance protest in the country just as he wondered if they had separate petrol stations they could purchase cheaper petrol.
In a chat with Our Correspondent in Warri, Comrade Joe said Activists who kicked against genuine protesters should henceforth stop the habit as it would not do them any good.
According to him, Activists who compromise by fighting against genuine protesters for material gains which are usually peanuts, will never put them in good light in the eyes of the public.
Comrade Joe noted that posterity would judge everyone in this dark days where Nigerians keep suffering bad policies of the government.
His words:"l wonder why they are proud of their decisions to stand against Nigerians who wanted to peacefully express their opinions over the bad government as a fundamental and guaranteed rights in the country's constitution".
Comrade Joel pointed out that, some persons have been charged with treason and remanded in Nigerian correctional centres by Federal High Court Abuja recently just because they embarked on protests over bad government's policies, which of course, is their fundamental human rights.
