Otuaro resumes as Administrator of Presidential Amnesty Programme

Chief Dennis Otuaro (PhD) Monday resumed office of Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) amidst excitement and hope amongst staff in Abuja.

Otuaro who arrived with his entourage was received by senior officials.

The Administrator was ushered into the boardroom later where he was formally welcomed and introduced to staff.

Otuaro assured that his term will witness transparency and excellent leadership urged the staff to remain committed to the agenda of the programme.

Otuaro promised to repay the confidence the President Bola Tinubu has reposed on him by bringing his experience to bear.

Tinubu few days ago approved the appointment of Dr Dennis Otuaro as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

Otauro’s appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The news of the appointment was received with excitement across the Niger Delta region because of the quality and expertise of Otuaro. 

Otuaro replaces the Interim Administrator of the PAP, Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu (retd.), who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari on September 15, 2022.

Otuaro holds a PhD in Comparative Politics & Development Studies, an MSc in Public Administration, and a BSc in Education.

He had previously served as a senior executive of the Niger Delta Development Commission with a surfeit of experience across multiple sectors, including infrastructure development, security, environmental remediation, as well as oil and gas.
