James Welch Old Boys Association get new Executive, gift N5m To alma mater for renovations and palliatives

The James Welch Grammar School Emevor Old Boys Association weekend elected new Executive just as they presented N5m To alma mater for renovations and palliatives five million naira, N5M to her alma mater as palliative to cushion the effects of the hard economy and renovate some dilapidated school laboratories

The Old boys presented a one million naira cheque as palliative and cheque of four million naira to the School Principal, Rev. Canon Emmanuel Ewhe for renovations.

This was done weekend during the annual general meeting of the institution, by the the immediate past national president, Rear Admiral Francis Dan Akpan.

The association had also at the annual general meeting elected new executive members to pilot the affairs of the Old Boys for the next few years.
 
Speaking during the presentation, Rear Admiral Akpan said, "We may not have that kind of calibers of people you see in the other schools in terms economic enhancement but what we have is people with action.

"In the last five years, we have raised the bar and this is the first time we are raising cheques of five million naira to the principal in the history of the school and that means we have done well."

The school dinning hall was built in 1967, and it is just recently, we renovated it as we are looking at enhancing the standard of the school as we will raid another cheque of N10million to fix  laboratory that has issues." De Akpan revealed.

Those elected to pilot the Old Boys Association affairs are, Dr. Phillip Esavwede as the National President, Chief Jerome Omoroh as 1st Vice President, Chief Clem Efevawere-Onowotu as 2nd Vice President, Mr. Alex Otuata as Secretary, Mr Osioni Obokparo, as Assistant Secretary.

Others are, Prince Paul Onoroha as Treasurer, Mr Egene Francis as Financial Sec, Mr Jerry Odugala as PRO, Sam Okako as Auditor, Ivan Tobore as Social Sec, while Rear Admiral Dr. Akpan and Prince Orevaoghene Uweye are, Ex-official I and II respectively.
