The Nigerian Security squabble with TANTITA Security over arrested vessel

The controversy that trailed the arrest of MT PRAISEL, a Motor vessel by Operatives of TANTITA Security Services Limited, TSSL, is not strange to those in the know of the happenings in the oil industry of Nigeria.When President Mohammed Buhari in the twilight of his administration awarded the surveillance contract to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo's company, event as this was expected, but not between those that were saddled with same objectives of working for national interest.The crux of the disagreement is that Tantita intelligence is suspicious of the discrepancies that exists in documentation with special regards to its loading point and discharge destination and the security clean bill of health of the vessel operation and discharge destination different from what is in the documentation.The alacrity with which the Navy and its sister outfits dished out the clean bill of health and exonerated its officials of wrong doings despite the near confrontation and resistance put up against Tantita request to inspect the vessel at the onset will leave a reasonable man with more questions than answers.But Nigerians are desirous to know who is telling the truth and whose interest is upper most, Nigerian or personal?  One of the questions begging for answers is while the Nigerian Navy Authority is saying that the Vessel got approval/clearance to Bonny, Rivers State as its location the document says Lagos, who will not be suspicious?Another question is how did "Channel Television" got the information and published same immediately the arrest was made and investigation were yet concluded.Again, the body language and the surreptitious language used by the security outfits in attacking Tantita Security intelligence and operation will make one to reach a conclusion that some persons are not comfortable with the Zero tolerance approach of Tantita to the fight against crude oil theft.This is not the first time that the security outfits whose primary duty is to protect the nation and its assets seem not comfortable with the successes recorded by the Tompolos Tantita.This editorial is calling on the National Security Adviser, Headquarters of both the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police Force and other Security Agencies to as a matter unravel the truth concerning the vessel, MT PRAISEL. The documentation of the vessel should be scrutinize side by side the content to see if it will be reasonable to raise suspicion going by the modus operandi of previous activities of the arrested vessels.This is also calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter of urgency renew and expand the scope of the pipeline surveillance contract to TANTITA Security Services Limited TSSL, as it has proven beyond all doubts its ability to end crude oil theft that has hampered the country economic growth.
