Lack of VIO attention rottens Papu ear - Family

Aggrieved family members of Papu Prosper, the Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) who was attacked by a Sienna driver and bites off ear, have accused VIO that they are the cause of the trauma that's on ground, emphasised how it has affected part of the ear because it lacks blood supply and thereby leads to decay.PEBNEWS earlier reported that a Sienna driver (name withheld) bites off ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer, VIO, identified as Papu Prosper during a heated argument while they were on patrol in Warri, Delta State.Aggrieved family members in a conversation revealed to our correspondent that good attention was not given to Papu Prosper, and that had led to the localized death of the ear cells.According to the family, "When the incident occurred, this so-called VIOs took Prosper to Chemist shop instead of a secured hospital."Thereafter, they transferred him to Central Hospital Warri on that same Friday. The doctor who was assigned to Prosper retreated and started it afresh, condeming the work of the Chemist."After that day, VIO abandoned the boy for good 3 days before taking him back to Central Hospital in Warri, that was on Tuesday."There, the doctor confirmed the ear rotten, having no option but to be pulled out fully." They revealed.Meanwhile, Abuja based medical doctor said, this is a case of necrosis, need to check with doctor again urgently. Adding that the situation is a  bad one, but there is nothing God can not do.However, Asaba Christopher, who is also a family relative, pleads with VIO to take appropriate steps and speaks further, threatening to take rude actions if nothing good is done."For me, am pleading with the VIO to take appropriate steps, otherwise, rude steps will take shape." Asaba stated.
