Oghara: Tears flow as children of late Delta Queen pay tribute to their mother, King cries

Tears flow as the children of the departed Queen of Oghara Kingdom in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State today paid glowing tributes to their mother, HRM.(Queen) Grace Ogbeta Eshemitan, wife of the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, HRM. Noble Oyibo Eshemitan as a memorial service was held in her honour at the palace of the reverred monarch. Our Correspondent who was there reports that even the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom also wept over the demise of his late Queen.It would be recalled that the Queen passed ten(10)years ago.The eldest son of the monarch, Prince Omonigho Eshemitan started the tribute. He said his late mother was the foundation on which himself and his siblings stand.He noted that his mother, the Queen was always there to give them the notch which has made them better persons in life and society.Prince Eshemitan stressed that, "there's always a touch of her teachings in his life and that of his siblings including his father, the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom.While thanking God Almighty for the life his mother spent here on planet earth, he said, "She made so much sacrifices for them and the family."Prince Eshemitan who was flanked by his sister, Princess Onome pointed out that their mother left them at a very young age just as he noted that, it's God that giveth and taketh life.Mrs. Shallotte Akpobaro who also paid tribute to the late Queen noted that she took and nurtured her while she was three year old till when she got married.According to her, "She was my foundation. She was everything I am today. Without her, there will not be me. Where she is, I know she's proud of the woman she had made me. All that she had taught me, I put them into use even up to the way she cooks, I cook like her. She was selfless. She gave her all."Mrs. Akpobaro also said the late Queen made her to marry her hubby because she saw a future for her.Earlier, the Bishop of Sapele Diocese(Anglican Communion) Bishop Blessing Erifeta in a sermon admonished Christians to live as pilgrims here on earth. He also offered prayers for the children and the family.High point of the memorial service was a Thanksgiving service in honour of the late Queen. Present at the colorful event were the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom,HRM. (King) Monday Obukohwo Whiskey Uduthie I and the Iyasere of Oghara Kingdom, Uzi Felix Ekireghwo.The memorial service was organised by the St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ogharefe Community.
